Heatstrip USA News

February 2021

In this elegant and contemporary setting, two Large Heatstrips extend the shoulder seasons of fall and spring. Allowing longer use of their outdoor area.

Family friendly with a built in BBQ and scandinavian furniture. Overlooking the local Oregon river, it is a lovely area to spend time with family and friends.

Welcome to the new year, over here at Heatstrip USA, we are looking forward to a bright and happy new year.

One of the recent installations from just before winter was upon us, was this stunning gazebo. The two heaters have been symmetrically placed either side of the centrally located fan.

Located in Denver, CO, this outdoor space is sublime with its use of natural materials. The exposed timber and stone pavers work well together. This gazebo has a pitched roof that goes up to over 15′ high. The installer has used two sets of 36″ Drop Down Kits – Heatstrip Install Accessory – (Part No: THHAC-007) to bring the 3200 Watt Heatstrip patio heaters closer to the people and over where the furniture is. The poles screw directly into the mounting brackets of the heaters for ease of installation, no tools or extra parts needed.

With the winter storm on the east coast of the US, COVID and the holiday season coming up, the timing of shipping will be taking longer. We thank you for your patience as we get through this. The health and safety of our staff is paramount.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year, from all of us at Heatstrip.

Below are some photos of an installation in Missouri. This outdoor patio is full of luxury with an exposed rock wall, hardwood timber parquetry and high end commercial grade furniture.

Using two Regular Heatstrip patio heaters (Part No: THH2400AUL, 2400 Watts 240 Volts). These heaters are neatly mounted in the Flush Mount Enclosure (Part No: THHAC-011 Recess Mount Kit to suit 2400 Watt). The heaters are only 2 1/2″ thick, however with the Recess Kit, they become even more slimline.

For best heating results we recommend mounting between 6 to 9′ from the ground and directly over the furniture where the people will be. The radiant heat from the Heatstrips will heat the people, the furniture and the floor.

Please contact us for a free specifying service for your patio area.

Located in southern California, this private residence has a stunning view over the coastline to the Pacific Ocean. With the upper balcony overlooking the pool, the hand selected outdoor furniture has been paired with two Large Heatstrip patio heaters to keep warm for longer. The brackets were custom designed and made for the project. With a partial overhanging ceiling for protection from the elements, this residence has the feel of a luxury resort.

This project was designed by Sulinh Lafontaine from Sula Designs. With extensive experience in design, both here in the US and Europe, Sulinh has used Heatstrip patio heaters in a few of her previous projects. Her talent extends beyond interior design to construction and remodeling as well. Give her a call or email and Sulinh will be able to help with your design needs.

Hot yoga, with its many variations, is an incredible form of exercise. It helps to detoxify the body, relaxes the mind, improves concentration, and gives you a great cardio workout.

In addition it adds to your flexibility and core strength and you’ll feel better after the work out.

This Heatstrip installation was built earlier this year.

This beautifully well appointed studio has cool air circulating, keeping the oxygen levels high. It also has soft lighting in a variety of colors and an exceptional sound system for a great workout. Included are the Heatstrip heaters installed on the ceiling for their radiant heat. Warming the people below.

The heaters keep the room between 90 to 95*F (30 to 40*C ideally at 37*C). Unlike other radiant heaters, Heatstrip doesn’t glow meaning that there is orange glow to distract from the ambience of the studio.

The heaters are also recess into the ceiling for a minimal clean look.

With the separation of smoking from other parts of a modern hotel, this hotel has taken the steps to provide a small open air area, under cover and protected from the weather for their patrons.

Utilizing two Heatstrip Mini 1500 Watt 120 Volt patio heaters, the patrons are kept warm while they step outside for a break.

May 2020

Installed into a covered deck at the rear of the home, the architect specified two of the Heatstrip Large patio heaters. These heaters have been recessed into the ceiling using the Flush Mount KitFlush Mount Kit for a slimline look. The patio heaters have been located either side of the down-lights for an even spread of heat. The heaters have also been placed over the 4 seater table and close to the lounge for maximum radiant effect.

March 2020

In this installation the multiple heaters keep the customers and staff warm when at the counter. Heatstrip has been designed tough for commercial applications. Heatstrip has been tested to run all day, 7 days a week, ensuring that longevity and reliability are paramount.

This application is above a trade counter for a hardware store. Mounted from the ceiling using chains, the suspension mount is especially useful here as it brings the heater to 9′ from the ground. It also mounts between services already existing on the ceiling, notable the water sprinkler system and the lighting.

In this warehouse it is not practical to heat the entire space as the high ceilings and sheer size of the warehouse make it infeasible. The warehouse is also uninsulated and unsealed, as it is in a temperate climate where there is no snow.

February 2020

As big fans of the NFL here at Heatstrip USA, the finals were a mix of exciting and also brutal for the Ravens, Lamar Jackson, star quarterback, very deserving of the MVP award. We’re sorry the finals were so short lived, we wanted to see more.

As for the Super Bowl, our favorite ad was Bill Murray who reprised his role in Groundhog day. Both clever and entertaining, the ad is one of the reasons why the Super Bowl is special.

In the game itself, Patrick Mahones with another season’s worth of experience and the Chiefs came home with a wet sail to win. Breaking one of the longest Super Bowl droughts. The 4th quarter was amazing to watch. Our condolences to Jimmy Garappolo and the 49ers.

Meanwhile coming into summer, it’s time for Spring Training, and our favorites, the Chicago Cubs are in Mesa, Arizona, where it is a lot warmer. Good luck to Rizzo and Bryant (our favorite). With all the trade action, it should be good to see the all new line ups for each team.

November 2019

Children’s play centre are lots of fun for kids, the running, bouncing, dodgeball and even more bouncing. All the exercise keeps the kids warm, however the adults sometimes keep a little chilly, the installation of Heatstrip USA heaters makes a lot of sense.

Located in an industrial warehouse, with high ceilings, heating the whole building is expensive and time consuming. Having targeted heaters that use radiant heat like Heatstrip is an effective way to keep warm. These heaters have been lowered on chains to be at close to 9′ from the ground.

October 2019

One recent installations of Heatstrip patio heaters is at a fantastic taproom, located in the historic prune yard in Campbell, California. Out of the Barrel specializes in stocking small breweries. With a great tap-list, they’re supporting the local independent craft breweries.

These Heatstrip electric heaters were installed in early 2017 in Hillsborough California, not too far from San Francisco Bay. In this coastal location with high salinity, this garden installation is a good example of a stunning gazebo.

Utilizing a heat resistant, fabric awning, the dining table is protected from the harsh sun and rain.

These Heatstrip heaters are mounted on a custom made bracket and angled at 45 degrees, so the heat is directed to the centre of the area. Ensuring the gazebo is more comfortable for longer.

August 2019

Recently installed were 4 Large no-glow electric Heatstrip patio heaters. With a great view over the surrounding tree lined hills, this balcony is built for living longer outdoors.

July 2019

Every wondered how long Heatstrip is going to look in over 3 years time? These Heatstrips were installed in the outdoor dining area of a regional country club. March 2019

We are proud to see Heatstrip in use all over the world, including on a boat install for harsh cold environments. A customer in Norway reports on their installation of Australian-made Heatstrip heater, read on below:

While in Brisbane, Australia in 2014 we installed a Heatstrip patio heater and just love it. A key advantage of the Heatstrip is a nice, even warmth with no red glow. You can’t tell it’s on and it doesn’t change the lighting at night. Our cat appreciates the heater too, and usually finds a spot underneath whenever it is on. In the photo above, we’re enjoying a chilly late-December sunset in Albermarle Sound, North Carolina.

And the Heatstrip apparently is built like a tank. It has run flawlessly for the past four years, surviving a salt-water drenching during our 69.1° roll-over and countless soakings during several north Atlantic gales. We may never use the two spares we purchased.

This outdoor entertaining area looks stunnning with the pool lit up at night. Increasing the usability of the space around the shoulder seasons of fall and spring, Heatstrip patio heaters have been installed to multiple areas including the BBQ and kitchen area. The centre of the ceiling has a light and fans, so the Heatstrips are placed on the perimeter. And to not forget the guests, there are more Heatstrip patio heaters angle mounted out from the wall to keep them warm while they keep the chef company.

October 2018

And we’re into Week 4 of the regular season of NFL. A couple of things, WOW for the Bears from Mitch Trubisky and Khalil Mack, what a game against the Buccs.

And all the Kansas City Chief fans would love the work of young quarteback Pat Mahomes.

Back to Heatstrip USA and see the latest commercial installation in the outdoor dining and bar of this Hotel. Mounting on the rafters and angled down using the Standard Mounting Brackets (that come in the box). The brackets can be mounted 0, 22 or 45 degrees from the ceiling or wall.

The heaters have been used in multiples to increase the coverage of heat for the patrons. They have chosen the Heatstrip Mini (THH1500AUL). With the heaters connected in zones, the large dining and bar areas can be separately controlled for heat. The owners have also chosen to have a rotatable louvred roof. This outdoor area can be flexible for sunny days and rainy conditions.

August 2018

Another installation of Heatstrip heaters being used on this outdoor patio. Angle mounted from an angled ceiling, multiple heaters have been used to effectively heat the area. These heaters are mounted on the perimeter due to the lights and ceiling fans being mounted in the middle.

July 2018

With the west facing coastline a few miles away, the homeowners have chosen to install a Heatstrip heater for their new gazebo. Fitted on a pitched roof and brought down using the 48″ Drop Down Kit, to the recommended height of between 6 to 9′ from the ground. The 316 Stainless Steel Drop poles are perfect for their high salinity location.
The gazebo has also been fitted with a ceiling fan, lighting, a BBQ and dining table. The clients are very happy with latest installation to their lifestyle.

June 2018

Using the standard mounting brackets that come in the box with the heater. These Large Heatstrips (THH3200AUL) are rotated to 45 degrees. This pushes the heat into the covered deck, overlooking the pool and backyard.

May 2018

In the picturesque mountains of Oregon, the owners of this beautiful home, wanted to enjoy being outside for longer and be using their alfresco kitchen and outdoor dining space.
Specified were two of the Heatstrip Large (THH3200AUL) heaters. Given the cold location, they are placed closer together than usual.
The homeowners are very happy and can now sit outside with a hot coffee in the morning in the crisp air.

April 2018

A recent installation of Heatstrip heaters was at the rear of this house. With only exposed trellis above, the IP55 rated Heatstrip’s are suitable to be rained on and even snowed on.

Recently we found a coffee shop that has had installed Heatstrip heaters to warm their outdoor area. Positioned above the tables, the heaters make the outdoor tables usable for longer. With the outside tables, it almost doubles the shop’s capacity for seating and has had a remarkable increase in revenue. They’ve had the heaters for a few years and enjoy the simplicity of flicking a switch to turn them on and off. The staff like the heaters because they don’t have to carry around gas bottles.

As it is getting warmer, dust off the BBQ, hose down the patio furniture and prepare for those fun times grilling with friends. Here at Heatstrip USA, our VP of customer relations, Sav has his favorite recipe for the spice rub for ribs.

Stockist Staples 1

1 oz garlic powder
1 oz cayenne pepper powder (for the heat)
3 oz brown sugar (for the caramelizing color)
1 oz chilli powder (more if you like it hot)
1/2 oz black pepper
1/2 oz salt

A favorite with his friends (most are only his friend because of this recipe), rub the meat, coat in oil, grill and enjoy. Stay outside a little longer with Heatstrip patio heaters.

January 2014

From all of us at Heatstrip USA, please stay safe during the current cold storms.

We are back from our Christmas Holidays and all operations have once again commenced. We hope you had a good New Years Celebration. With all this snow around we thought it might be helpful to remind everyone that Heatstrip heaters are a great way to melt snow. Heatstrip heaters have been used to melt snow and ice and keep paths, entrance ways and doorsteps clear of ice and snow. Radiating heat at 660oF (350oC) Heatstrip heaters can be effectively used to keep your doorway clear of ice and snow. Used under the eaves or porch it is very hard for snow to build up in the path of the intense heat of the Heatstrip. Heatstrip has also been used in bus terminals and bus shelters to melt snow and keep the footpaths clear of snow. How to melt snow:

    1. Ensure the Heatstrip is positioned above the snow.
    2. Turn on the Heater.
    3. Wait & watch the snow melt.

Heatstrip heaters can be effectively used to permanently melt snow and keep paths clear of snow.

December 2013
